Alzheimer’s disease is a disease of a brain that causes problems with behaviour, thinking, and memory. It is a most common cause of dementia and it happens due to the massive neuronal loss in the areas of the brain that are responsible for memory and learning. Dementia is characterized as the gradual loss of memory and communication skills.

It affects the nerves that connect every part of the brain to each other as well as the spinal cord. It results to decline in the functionality of the brain. Those nerves are also called white matter.
