What is Prostate Cancer?
Cancer is a disease that develops when the cells of the body become abnormal and start to grow uncontrollably. Men who have a first degree relative such as father or brother with prostate cancer are twice more likely to develop this disease and if the men have two degree relative with prostate cancer then he is five times more likely to develop prostate cancer. The risk highly increases if the family member was diagnosed with this disease before the age of 65. Also, many researchers believe that men are at increased risk of prostate cancer even if they have a family history of other cancers such as colon cancer, ovarian cancer etc..
3. Dietary Pattern
High fat food and highly processed carbohydrate diet can lead to the development of prostate cancer. Many studies suggest that men who are overweight and obese are at higher risk of prostate cancer and an obesity and prostate cancer can be a dangerous combination. Obesity is not something that can occur in a day but it is related to the poor diet and bad lifestyle choices. Intake of high fat and sugar is a main cause of obesity and it often leads to obesity.

Pomegranate is known to slow down the progression of prostate cancer. In a study, researchers found that drinking a glass of pomegranate juice decreases the level at which the prostate specific antigen was rising.
3. Green Tea
A cup of green tea can reduce the risk of prostate cancer and if one has already developed this disease then green tea improves the symptoms of prostate cancer. Many believe that green tea has chemicals that help in fighting this disease and it also provides many other health benefits as well such as manages the cholesterol level, diabetes, cardiovascular disease etc..
4. Cruciferous Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, spinach, cauliflower etc. are known to be an effective veggie that prevents the occurrence of prostate cancer and it also improves the symptoms of prostate cancer and provides relief to a patient. It slows down the growth of prostate cancer and reduces the risk of it.
