How Bortrac 2 Mg Injection (Bortezomib) Works:

Bortrac 2 mg Injection has an active ingredient; Bortezomib is an anti-cancer medication which works by blocking or slowing the breakdown of proteins in cells. As a result, there is an increase in the number of proteins in the cancer cells which lead to their death. Bortezomib is a reversible inhibitor of the chymotrypsin-like activity of the 26S proteasome in cells. The 26S proteasome is a large protein complex which degrades ubiquitinated proteins. The 26S proteasome degrades various proteins vital to cancer cell survival, such as tumor suppressors, cyclins, BCL-2, & cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. Inhibition of these degradations sensitizes cells to apoptosis. Bortezomib is a potent inhibitor of 26S proteasome that sensitizes activity in dividing multiple myeloma & leukemic cells thus inducing apoptosis.
