Shipping Update: U.S. Tariff Changes on Pharmaceuticals
Recent U.S. trade changes and the Supreme Court’s February 20, 2026, ruling in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump (No. 24-1287) have reshaped how goods enter the country. While the Court limited certain presidential tariff powers, the government moved to a 10% global import surcharge under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.
Crucially, the nationwide suspension of "De Minimis" (duty-free) treatment is now in effect, and all international shipments now require formal customs entry, standard duties, and stricter screening.
These changes continue to affect international businesses like ours, as customs clearance, compliance, and import-related handling costs remain higher for pharmaceutical shipments into the U.S.
How This Affects Shipping
Changes in tariff rates and import regulations can affect the overall cost of moving regulated goods across borders. For pharmaceutical shipments, the current U.S. regulations may affect several areas:
1. Import Duty
Applicable pharmaceutical products may be subject to a 10% import tariff, which must be settled as part of customs clearance before the shipment can be released.
2. Carrier and Logistics Charges
Freight and courier partners may adjust their charges to reflect import-related expenses, insurance exposure, and additional compliance requirements.
3. Compliance and Documentation Costs
Pharmaceutical imports are subject to stricter checks, documentation requirements, and customs screening procedures. These can add time, administrative effort, and associated handling costs.
Together, these factors continue to influence the cost of shipping pharmaceutical products into the United States.
Shipping Fee for U.S. Orders
Our shipping fee for U.S. orders is $25.
This fee covers packaging, shipping, and applicable import duty on the shipment. No additional payment is required at the time of delivery.
This applies only to customers in the United States.
Other Than the U.S.
For customers outside the U.S., shipping fees and import duty treatment may vary depending on each country’s local regulations and import policies.
Your shipping charges will continue to be displayed accurately at checkout based on your delivery country.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We believe in transparency and fairness. Instead of making hidden price changes or compromising on service quality, we want you to understand why shipping rates may vary by destination.
Even with these updates:
-
We are constantly streamlining our operations to reduce unnecessary costs.
-
We continue to keep charges as reasonable as possible.
-
We do not add profit margins to tariffs — any applicable costs are purely operational and compliance-related.
-
Your order will still be shipped with the same speed, safety, and reliability as before.
Note: Tariff rules are set by the U.S. government and may change over time in the future. Accordingly, shipping fees and related charges may be adjusted in line with updates to U.S. trade laws and tariff regulations, and we will keep you informed of any such changes.
