Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: GERD is a chronic condition in which acid or bile from the stomach flows into the food pipe, irritating the lining.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: In this condition, excess acid is produced due to tumors in the small intestine.

Gastric and Duodenal Ulcers: Gastric Ulcers are formed in the stomach. Duodenal Ulcers are found in the small intestine.

Erosive Esophagitis: In this disease, the esophagus is damaged due to the excess acid. This condition is a severe form of GERD.

Aciloc can also be used in the treatment of Hypersecretory conditions like Multiple Endocrine Adenoma Syndrome and Systemic Mastocytosis. It can also be prescribed for Dyspepsia.

300 mg variation of Aciloc belongs to a class of medicines known as H2 blockers. 

The main ingredient of Aciloc, Ranitidine, inhibits the effects of Histamine on the Histamine H2 receptors in the parietal cells, which line the stomach wall.

Histamine is the chemical that stimulates the parietal cells to release gastric acid.

This medicine blocks Histamine, thereby decreasing gastric acid secretion.
