The drug is primarily used for

Ankylosing spondylitis: It is a type of arthritis affecting spine. This may result in pain and inflammation of joints. Celecoxib reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting the production of prostaglandin precursors.

Osteoarthritis: It is a joint disease resulting from breakdown of joint cartilage and underlying bone tissue. Celecoxib produces a significant improvement in pain and inflammation.

How cobix 200 works?

The drug mainly acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis by decreasing the activity of the enzyme, cyclooxygenase -2 (COX-2), which results in decreased formation of prostaglandin precursors; and this further results in antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Celecoxib does not inhibit cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) at therapeutic concentrations.

How to take cobix 200 ?

Cobix 200 having salt Celecoxib can be administered with/ without regards to meals, if you have any ingestion problems then take the medicine with food.
Capsules may be swallowed whole or the entire contents emptied onto a teaspoon of cool or room temperature applesauce and administered immediately with water.
The contents of the capsules sprinkled onto applesauce may be stored under refrigeration for up to 6 hours.
