How does Ivecop 12 Mg Work?

Ivermectin is a drug used to kill parasites. It works against the parasite by selectively binding to the glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in the nerve and muscle cells of the organism. 

When Ivermectin binds to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels, it increases the flow of chloride ions into the cell. 

This causes the cell to become too charged, paralyzing and killing the parasite.

Dosage

Ivecop 12 mg should be given on prescription only. You should consult your doctor about the dosage and duration of the Ivecop 12 mg tablet because the severity of the disease can differ among patients.

It also comes in strengths of Ivecop 6 mg, 3 mg, and Ivecop AB tablet. 

Adults are advised to take Ivecop 12 mg at a fixed time as instructed by their doctor. 

It would be best to take it empty stomach, 1 hr before or 2 hrs after having a meal. Swallow the pill as a whole with water, do not chew or crush it.

It is not recommended for infants and children below 12 yrs of age.
