Together they work by lowering the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body & removing the virus from the blood over a period of time. Sofosbuvir is an inhibitor of the HCV NS5B RNA dependent RNA polymerase that undergoes intracellular metabolism to form uridine analogue triphosphate & inhibits the viral replication by incorporating into HCV RNA & acts as a chain terminator.
