HyloSoft Eye Drop is a lubricating artificial tear formulation used to relieve Dry Eye Syndrome. It contains Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1% (w/v), the salt form of the popular lubricant, Hyaluronic Acid. This product is part of the HyloSoft series, including Max, Eco, and HPF variants. It is manufactured by Neomedix Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. in GMP-compliant facilities.
The active ingredient, Sodium Hyaluronate, belongs to the class of ophthalmic viscoelastic lubricants. It works by forming a moisture-retaining protective layer over the eye surface. This helps improve tear film stability and keeps the eyes comfortable by reducing dryness, irritation, burning, and friction during blinking. The formulation also contains Stabilized Oxychloro Complex as a preservative to maintain its sterility.
HyloSoft lubricating eye drops are thus commonly used to manage Dry Eyes caused by reduced tear production, long screen time, dust, wind, pollution, air conditioning, or other environmental triggers. It can also be used for post-operative dryness and corneal ulcers.
The usual HyloSoft 10 ml dosage is 1-2 drops in the affected eye 3-4 times daily or as directed by your ophthalmologist. If you miss a dose, apply it when you remember, unless it is almost time for the next one. If you are using other eye medicines, maintain a 10-minute gap between them to avoid dilution.
Mild blurred vision, redness or irritation can occur for a short time after use but settle on their own. Consult a healthcare provider if these side effects persist or if you notice severe eye pain, swelling, discharge, or vision changes.
Do not use HyloSoft Eye Drops if you are allergic to Sodium Hyaluronate. People with narrow-angle Glaucoma, active eye infections, or recent eye injury should consult their doctor before use.
Store the bottle below 25°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep it tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Kidney Impairment
Since Hyaluronic acid-based artificial tears act locally and have minimal systemic absorption, they can be used safely in patients with kidney impairment.
Pregnant and Breastfeeding women
Information on the use of Sodium Hyaluronate ophthalmic solution during pregnancy and breastfeeding is limited. Thus, a doctor will determine whether HyloSoft is safe for use at this time.

Yes, HyloSoft is useful to support ocular surface hydration after LASIK or other eye procedures. It also helps relieve Dry Eyes after Cataract surgery. However, it should be used only if your eye specialist advises it.
Yes, HyloSoft can help with dryness and irritation linked to prolonged screen use. Its active ingredient, Sodium Hyaluronate, keeps the eye surface lubricated. This helps reduce discomfort, strain, and burning that develop when blinking becomes less frequent.
No, HyloSoft is not good for allergies as it is not an antihistamine. As a lubricant, it moisturizes the ocular surface but does not contain anti-inflammatory agents to treat symptoms of eye allergies.
Yes, HyloSoft eye drops can cause temporary blurred vision right after application. This usually clears once the drop spreads over the eye surface. Avoid driving, cycling, operating machinery or other visually demanding work until your vision clears again.
Typically, you can use 1-2 drops of HyloSoft as needed to relieve Dry Eye symptoms in the morning, during the day and at night. However, your ophthalmologist will determine the exact dosing schedule based on the severity of dryness and your ocular health.

Yes, you can use HyloSoft if you have open-angle Glaucoma under medical supervision. Avoid use if you have narrow-angle or closed-angle Glaucoma without a doctor’s approval. This is due to the potential risk of changes in intraocular (eye) pressure.
Yes, you can use other eye medications with HyloSoft if your doctor advises. Make sure to leave at least a 5-10 minute gap between applications. In this way, one medicine will not wash out the other, and both can work effectively.
